Easter's Less Than A Week Away!

Easter Bunny costumes are kinda creepy.
Hiya, Friends!  Didja know that Easter's less than a week away?  Have ya given any more thought to what you wanna find in your Easter basket on Sunday?  Have ya given it any more thought at all?

I sort of have.  The other day I was at the mall, and the Easter Bunny was there.  Not the real Easter Bunny.  Of course not the real Easter Bunny.  The real Easter Bunny has helpers.

Their faces don't move.  Isn't that weird?
I'll take Santa Claus any day.  At least his face moves!
One of those helpers is at my Mall, Friends.

All I wanted to do was look at that pretty fountain in the middle of the Mall.  That's all I wanted to do.  But there was that Easter Bunny's helper.

Mommy and Daddy wanted me to have my picture taken with that Bunny's helper.  Unfortunately (by that I mean, 'hooray!'), the Easter Bunny's helper was going on break.  I missed him.  But he walked right near me and waved.

I went back to lookin' at the coins in my beloved fountain.  I want one of those fountains in my Easter basket, Friends.  That way, I can get people to throw in their money, and I can buy all the Easter candy I could ever want.  I'll buy some for you, too, with my fountain-money!

Friends, I love the daylights right outta you.  I also love that your face moves.  Things whose faces don't move are kinda creepy!

This Is One Sweet Frog!

Have you ever been to Sweet Frog, Friends?
Hiya, Friends!  How's your weekend going so far?

You know what?  On Friday, I got to go to a place that was wondrous!  The walls were pink-n-green-n-bright blue!  There was every kind of frozen yogurt you could imagine.  There were even more toppings than you could imagine.

Friends, I'm talking about crunched-up candy bars.  Graham cracker crumbs.  Different fruits.  Things called "Mango Poppers."  Something called Mochi.  It was incredible!  I think I woulda liked to grab up one of their big bowls and just filled it with all kinds of different toppings!  There were that many things I've never seen before but would love to try!
I got to have THREE CHERRIES on my ice cream!

What was the name of this wondrous cave of delicious wonder?

Sweet Frog!

Well, it's over across from the WalMart in Big Flats.  That's where it is.  Right beside Sally Beauty Supply.  I wanted to go into there, because I saw they had some nail polish.  I'm all about nail polish, Friends!  Mommy bought me some that peels right the heck off if you want it to, but it doesn't look like little kid nail polish.  It looks like grownup nail polish, but it isn't toxic or anything, and I just think it's rad, and I saw all those nail polishes through the window of the Sally Beauty Supply, and thought we were going in there!

I would like to go back, and take Dean O. with me!
I almost got all wound up, telling Mommy and Daddy I didn't want to go into the Sweet Frog, until I realized just what was waiting for me in there!

My frozen yogurt was called "S'mores," and it was a combination of chocolate-caramel and toasted marshmallow.  Mommy duded up my fro-yo (that's what the cool kids call it, Friends!) with some M&Ms, some whip, and THREE BRIGHT RED CHERRIES!  How about that?!

Friends, you won't believe Sweet Frog until you go yourselves.  When I heard we were havin' frozen yogurt, I thought it was some joint we were going to that puts my pouch yogurt in the freezer.  Blech.  But frozen yogurt is pretty much like ice cream.  It's just wonderful!

You've gotta go, Friends, and when you do, gimme a call.  I wanna go with you!

I love ya, Big People, and I'll see ya tomorrow!  Muah!

The Wild Girl on the Hill

Rocks are people too and deserve our respect!
Hiya, Friends!

Yesterday, I considered becoming a feral girl.  You see, I wanted to adopt a pet rock I found in the driveway, and Mommy wanted me to leave the rock in the driveway.

This was distressing to me, Friends.

Do you know what goes on in the driveway?  I sure do!  People drive on that thing.  It gets cold and snowy.  It rains.  It's hot out there in the summertime.

It's no place for a special rock like the rock I wanted to adopt, and Mommy was being heartless and mean, telling me I had to leave that rock out there in those conditions!

I knew if I wanted to rescue my pal from such abhorrent conditions, I had to take desperate measures.

Okay.  So they're not people, but rocks still deserve respect!
That's when I decided that if it came to it, I would live outside with my new pal the pet rock.  It would be a show of solidarity.  If the rock had to stay outside, I'd stay outside and give up the comforts of my nicey warm house, my soft blanket, and my Vitamin C lollipops.

Living outside like that, I'd probably go feral.  You know.  Wearin' cottonwood leaves sewn together for clothes.  Goin' to the bathroom outside.  Never havin' to comb my hair.

Barkin' and snarlin' at passing motorists.

The whole thing would be pretty embarrassing to Mommy, you know, havin' a feral little kid living in her yard.  People would wonder what's wrong with that wild little girl up on the hill.  She'd have a lot of 'splainin' to do, I'd imagine.

You just don't see many feral kids around these days.  I mean really feral ones.  Not figuratively feral kids who are acting up in the grocery store or restaurant or mall.  So I'm sure the presence of one, up here on my very hill would provoke some questioning.

You haven't lived until you've befriended a pet rock!
Well, guess what.

It worked.  Mommy asked me if I'd like to adopt that rock, and I said 'Yes!' because I did want to, and next thing I knew, we'd brought him inside, and we gave him a bath in the sink, with the fancy Mary Kay scrubby soap, and then I got to glue on a paira google eyes and a smile on my pet rock.

I named him "Fluffy."  I'll put up pictures of me and Fluffy sometime.  The little guy is still gettin' used to the fact that he will never get rained on again.  He'll never get driven over by heavy cars or a big Ram 2500 again.  That's a lot to take in and consider, you know, Friends.  A lot, a lot.

So I just hafta let my pal Fluffy the Pet Rock let it all sink in, and get used to livin' inside the house.  He's doin' all right, though.  I can tell he's really gonna like it here.  I can tell he's really gonna fit in.  I might even see if I can get him hired as a Paper Buoyancy Prevention Specialist at the office.  It'll be fan season pretty soon, and you probably can imagine what  mayhem that unleashes in an office where we still fill out TPS Reports (still don't know what they even are!) by hand, in triplicate.  Lotsa paper.  Fluffy might just be our rock to help tame that.

Anyway, Friends, I love ya lots, and I'll see you tomorrow, mmmmkay?  Enjoy your Friday!  Muah!

Rozzie's Tutu!

My friend Rozzie has had a veterinary adventure!
Friends, about a month ago, my best pal Rozzie had something on her ear called a hematoma, and she had to go to her doctor to have SURGERY on it so she could have it fixed.  I was worried about my pal.  She had to stay all night at the animal hospital, but when we went to pick her up, I got to meet a bunny and a pair of guinea pigs.

That's not even the coolest thing, though.
Ohmygoodnessohmygoodness, that's so cool, Rozzie!  Can I have it?
The coolest thing is that because of the surgery, and on accounta Rozzie havin' to get stitches in her ear, she had to wear this really neato blue collar around her neck!  To me, it looked just like a TUTU!  I LOVE TUTUS!

I wanted that blue tutu of Rozzie's for my very own.

Mommy won't let Rozzie give me this cool tutu.
Rozzie said I could have it.  She did.  She said she didn't like it, and that it was okay for me to have it.  I LOVED it, and was happy to take it off'n' Rozzie's neck.

But of course, Mommy said no, just like she always does when there's fun to be had for me and Rozzie.  Rozzie and I call Mommy Captain Buzzkill, if you wanna hafta know the truth.  She's always shuttin' down fun things Rozzie and I wanna do.

So Mommy wouldn't let me have Rozzie's tutu.   Wouldn't even listen to me and Rozzie tell her how Rozzie giving me her tutu was a brilliant idea.

It made us both mad, but we're both Rise Above kinda girls, so we figured out a way for Rozzie to have her tutu, and for me to have a tutu, too!
When Mommy won't letchya wear the dog's tutu, make your own!

I made my own, Friends!  I sure as heck did!  Now I can be as stylish as Rozzie is, and Rozzie can keep her tutu on, just like Mommy wants her to.

A bonus to this arrangement is that Rozzie said that she felt a little self-conscious with the tutu on, and being the only one dressed in sucha manner.  With me bein' dressed in a tutu around my head, too, Rozzie says I look silly as all get-out, and if I look like sucha weirdo, nobody's gonna think twice about seein' her!  She feels much better now!

Hey, if you can't help your friends out, who can you help, Friends?

I'm pretty pleased, Friends.  I hope you'll agree that I look as cool as Rozzie does!

I'll see ya tomorrow, Friends!  I love ya!  Muah!

Happy Wednesday!

Toss me the ball!  I can catch now!
Hiya, Friends!  It's hectic here at The Daily Zoe.  Almost tax time, whatever that means.  So I'm gonna phone in today's blog post.  I'm sorry about that!  I didn't wanna hafta miss out on seein' ya!

...Well, I eventually caught it!  That's gotta count!
Check me out, practicin' with the company softball team in today's pictures!  I ended up not makin' the team, but I am proud to get to be the towel manager!  I'm really good at it, and it lets me feel like I am an integral part of the team!

That's it for me.  I'm headin' to the showers!
Have a great Wednesday!  I love ya!

Puddle Jumpin'

I jumped in a buncha mud puddles!
Hiya, Friends!  Guess what!  On Sunday, when it was so warm outside, I got to go outside and play while Daddy was doing some work on the cars.

There wasn't much for me to do while I was outside, Friends.  I don't have a swingset... yet... to keep me entertained whilst out of doors, but that kind of play equipment deficit only inspires me to work harder to find something fun to do.

I might notta had a swingset to play on, or a sliding board to get a kick out of, but you know what I had lots and lots of?

MUD PUDDLES!

Oh, my goodness, Friends!  Mud puddles are the greatest!  Plus, I've been wanting to try out my Pink Butterfly Rubber Rain Boots ever since I had 'em bought at the Mall, and Sunday provided me with the perfect conditions for such a test-spin.

They work great, by the way!
I got my socks, skirt, and BabyLegs all wet and muddy!

When I'd see a mud puddle, I'd get a running start and jump into it with both feet.  If I did it just right, I'd make and epic SPLASH! with the water in the puddle, and the water would go from clear to roily.  If I ran and jumped enough, the puddle would go from being like a little tiny lake to being just a patcha mud!

I kept this up for a coupla hours, Friends!  I'm not even kidding!

zOMGWHATFUN!

The only downside to this wonderful new sport I've discovered is that I was wearin' a mere mortal pair of pink BabyLegs, and my knit, ruffly skort.  Super comfortable clothes, but about as waterproof as you'd expect 'em to be.  They got wet and muddy, and as Sunday was still kinda chilly, I got wet and chilly.  Ooooooh!  That's a sensation I don't like!

...And it was the most fun I've had, ever!
My rain boots worked great- the bottoms of my feet stayed nicey dry, but the tops of my socks got wet and muddy and chilly, because I'm so good at jumping in the mud puddles that the water came up and over my tall rubber boots!  How about that?!

It felt good to get back inside and into some clean and dry, if not entirely fashionable Backup Pants.  You know what I'm talkin' about, Friends.  Backup Pants are pants you aren't really that wild about wearing out when people can see you, but they fit and are comfortable, and you keep 'em in case something happens to your regular clothes.  Backup Pants!  I also got me a clean and dry pair of socks on, and I hafta say, that's a singular pleasure in this life, Friends.  Puttin' on a pair of nice, warm, dry socks after your feet have been wet and cold.  Ahhhh!

Hey, Friends!  I'll see ya tomorrow!  I love ya lots!  Muah!
